Match note: To avoid crowd trouble the "home" end stand will be clearly signposted . The match ball will also be inspected by a neutral observer and in case the refree should become injured we have a replacement on hand. Good luck to our visitors.

Gertie's memo to the FA with improvements to the game was misdirected to the Iraqi Football Association.

Memo:
Dear sir,

What you need to improve the game is a giant poster of your cutest player and men in uniform.

Much Love
Gerts x

Memo Ends.

This is not an entry but the photo made me really curious. The football match is in Afghanistan between the Afghani national team and the international security forces. The soldier is described as:
Lance Corporal Clark, who collected the match ball at Old Trafford on 23 January, placed it on the centre-spot for the kick-off
"If you cannot answer a man's argument, all it not lost; you can still call him vile names. " Elbert Hubbard.
