top gear

Post by thebish » Mon Feb 12, 2007 5:41 pm

anyone see this last night?

those alabama rednecks chucking rocks and chasing them down the highway - just for a few slogans!!

one of the funniest TGs I've seen for a long time!!

(quite moving to see their reaction to New Orleans though - Clarkson: "How can the rest of America sleep at night?" why has so little been done, he asks - while the camera pointedly shows the answer - a largely black population...

(Clarkson and Hamster giggling as they tried to break James May's AirCon with a spatula!!) that's entertainment!!

I don't like cars (Although I need one for work) and I don't like driving them. I don't like bikes. I don't like motor racing of any kind (Especially F1). I would ban all gas guzzling 4x4's unless there was a perfectly just reason to have one. Only idiots buy sports cars.

I also think Clarkson is an opinionated, unlikable Tory Boy.

But I do find Top Gear quite entertaining. :?

It was fanatstic, I laughed so hard at the bit in the red-neck garage I think I weed a bit.

Still laughing thiking about it, so much so I won't argue the toss with Malcd over the 4x4 comment.

I don't know who annoys me the most. The wankers that present it or the pathetic, guffawing, sycophants that make up the studio audience.

Rumbled, Our Kid! :D

In truth, I really can't watch it, but someone not a million miles from here does. Still, how else would the bin get put out, so on and so forth?

Top Gear is a top show. Of course it's hosted by three Peter Pans who drive like no one else on the road (I hope) and who over act. Unfortunately I'm watching what to you lot would be last year's series - that's before The Hamster's suicide attempt.

Still, it's fresh to me so I don't care. My enjoyment must be so obvious that my son bought me a couple of the Top Gear DVDs for Christmas. Mind you I think there could have been an ulterior motive in that particular exhibition of largesse as I haven't seen the bloody things for the last month or so and have two empty slots in the DVD stand to prove it.

It was a good laugh (the cow bit got me) but they seem to have almost completely abandoned motoring journalism these days.

Brilliant show as ever. They do now only seem to show the best of the best cars nowadays, but for me this holds the key. I like seeing grown men thrashing £100,000 cars as it is something I will never get to do, probably. But whoever decided to turn cars into boats last series should be knighted (instead of the England cricket team) I don't think I have ever laughed so much at a t.v. show.

How is that? Motoring isn't just about reviewing new cars.
