Hollywood walk of fame - bolton style?

Post by communistworkethic » Mon Apr 02, 2007 12:10 pm

Every week it seems my home town does something that makes me cringe with embarassment, on Saturday it was the busker with his Bolton News is really fantastic song and now I read in one of today's papers that Bolton is to have a walk of fame along deansgate for the "stars" born in bolton with some cringeworthy quote from each.

Put some fecking bins in the place and flatten some of the crappy housing instead of wasting money on this kind of crap.

They were on about doing this in Leigh a couple of years back, don't know if they ever went through with it.

Names mentioned who I can remember that weren't rugby league players were Lynda Lee-Potter and Nigel Short, top drawer.

I'm still waiting for my letter from the council asking if I want to have my name included on the walk of fame.

Not sure the walk goes as far as the Little Lever stables, but you never know....

We want a bronze statue on the town hall square or outside the Reebok. Kids will cover the lot in chewing gum in a month. Oh, that's over the grafitti. Whole thing is very "Hollywood" and a lot silly for me.
