wigan to sign players illegally

is how this reads to me...

I actually would rather like it if west ham stayed up at wigans expense to see whelans face, and then laugh at the bullsh*t he spouts afterwards.

he's right though to say that a precedent has been set and i can't see anyone getting points deducted ever

but lets point to the FA Cup where Bury were kicked out. they were kicked out because an administrative error at their end meant a player hadn't been registered properly. the lad was a bury player and it got wrapped up, who knows what it could have been - a spelling error, you just don't know. but little Bury were chucked out the cup, not fair in my book

Come come, of course they would deduct points from say, us! Not the academy of football though.

simple case law, a team would just refer to the decision made re West Ham and get off

A fraction of the cost of relegation from the Premiership.

Reminds me of Swindon being relegated for financial impropriety while Spurs were merely slapped on the wrist.

Still, at least when Swindon were initially relegated two divisions, our friends in Birkenhead temporarily thought they'd jammed their way up a division by default. So every cloud and all that.

Whelans a tosser. I hope all his JJB staff come out on strike again.

To be honest, I've never had anything against the man. He's transformed his club from a division two club to a Premiership one, and he's hardly done anything to slag Bolton off. I can see why he's so angry that West Ham have escaped a point deduction. The amount of money that Premiership clubs will get next season in comparison to Championship clubs is absolutely massive. It's going to get to the point where whoever goes down next season will more or less come straight back up because of the money in the Premiership.

He's also in favour of salary caps, something I'm in favour of. Still, at least we're all in agreement with Whelan that we hope West Ham go down!!

So, Whelan gets to use his financial muscle whilst bringing Wiggin up through the divisions, but as soon as he finds himself out of his depth, and with an overall investment returning nine tenths of Jack Shit, he comes over all "mummy, mummy, the big boys won't let me play", and you think that everyone else should then make allowances do you?

Having heard about the pittance he pays his JJB staff, it's no wonder he is in favour of a salary cap.

Whelan is an utter, utter tosser. I used to work for the prick and he's the most petty, pathetic, tight-fisted man I've ever had the misfortune to meet

looks like Samuel will get his way, league to probe the Howard transfer and his omission in the Everton game

at least neither team can be worried of a points deduction
