Trains/public transport is a shambles!

they even wrote to me to say I didn't 'touch out' and that means paying full whack - I didn't even use the thing that week. Either way, I don't care, I mainly use it to go to the pub :drink:

If driving is so wonderful, you can ask why traffic jams cost billions in lost business a year. Last week, Birmingham to Newcastle took six and a half hours (normally three). The train would have been a much better option.

Public transport's nowhere near as bad as people think. But if people want to believe cretins like Jeremy Clarkson and his pipsqueak pal, then so be it.

In a car, you're in control of your own destiny to a certain extent.

I've been pishing about with buses for the past couple of weeks while I was waiting to get a new car and although it's not been too bad, I'm looking forward to shaving 40 minutes off my journey home from tomorrow onwards when I get my new car (though I'll probably still get the 'match bus' to the Reebok on Sunday)

Driving is wonderful. You dont realise how convenient it is until you cant and are forced to use public transport.

Well, King's Cross appears - but only because I occasionally get the train into St Pancras from Market Harborough. Other than that it's all the usual boring business shit. I can't honestly see Spooks blowing away a few Arabs on the strength of it. 8)

Apart from the fact that the Americans would probably pitch up somewhere in Scandinavia.
