Just ordered a PS3 and FIFA 08. Been playing PES on the PC for the last few years but I'm bored with the weak career mode. Thought it's time to give FIFA another chance.

got fifa 08 as a gift for the ps2 at xmas, it's going to be cashed in at gamestation asap, it is absolutely horrific

pes has deteriorated over the years

I got Fifa on the PS3 and it's complete dogturd.

The only decent thing about it is the online play... oh no wait, that works about once in ten tries.

Complete bollocks- going to cash it in asap.

Got FM08 and am playing as Bolton. Needed to sort out the defence so i've brought in some short term signings.

If I was really the Bolton manager, i'd probably be fired by now, first time manager bringing in these players.

Samuel Kuffour (750k)
Chris Lucketti (60k)
Julio Cesar (some striker and defender) (free)
Roque Junior (free)
Fouad Dahmoume (150k from Girondins Bordeaux)
Marc Edworthy (30k)
Sean Evans (on loan from Man U)
Gilsinho (950k Brazilian Striker from Wuhan)

Not the best signings I admit, but I figured Samuel Kuffour might be worth a shot, Roque Junior might be over-rated on the game and Edworthy and Lucketti aren't really too much of a gamble considering they're only 90k for the two. Cesar looks to be a bargain though (defender, midfielder and forward, left and centre), one for the bench

I brought in Kuffour as well, for about the same money. Started off well, but went abit shite around xmas.

Managed to get to 3rd in the league by January, and offloaded Vaz Te for £10m. Boro were after him, so I named a ridiculous price, and they accepted, so the Bolton board intervened and accepted the bid on my behalf. Went out and bought Leroy Lita for £7m, before reading came in with £5.5 for Joey O'Brien

. Sold him, and then bought the absolutely woeful Phil Jagielka.

Following this, we lost about 8 games in a row and I found myself sacked

And for anyone who cares, my winning formation before we turned shite was...

Just got FIFA 08 for PS3 and I'm enjoying it so far. I have to say, any game that did enough research to give Jussi the attribute "scared of crosses" and Diouf the attitube "selfish" is OK in my book.

its noticeable that Fifa 08 is way lower than PES 08 on play.com
