Fave Childrens Cartoons

Post by Bench » Fri Feb 25, 2005 11:06 am

As a thread went completely out of control in the New Signing forum, I thought we could restart this discussion here.

What are you favourite kids cartoons from your youth?
Oli - current cartoons don't count ok?

Mysterious Cities of Gold is THE best, bar none. Early anime/manga... epic story lines, drama, giant golden condors... amazing...

Have to agree - it is one of the only cartoons that I can pretty much remember most of the plot. Apart from Dogtanian and the Muskerhounds that is

They don't do 'um like that any more *sucks on Worthers Original*

i think its on dvd in some form.. acording to amazon the UK DVD (3 discs) version is crappier that the french DVD (5 discs) version , as one thing it cuts off is the theme tune!! although all the eps there as far as i can tell... the french version will be in french tho

(on jetix some eps cut the front credits off some dont maybe this is the same? the box seems to imply its jetix / fox kids related)

its about £23

WOAH, HOW THE feck COULD I FORGET....

TEENAGE MUTANT HERO TURTLES!!!

i can't believe they had to change the name to hero, as people thought ninja was too violent.

i am gonna move away a little bit from cartoons, just to say the greatest program ever was the a-team. can you believe they stopped it because they said it was too violent.

do you know the death count in the a-team? big fat 0

robbery!

Transformers, Bravestar, Jase and the Wheeled Warriors (may be on Toonami), Visionaries (the one nobody ever remembers), Thundercats, Real Ghostbusters.

Never could get into Visionaries... the figures (with the hohlograms on) where pretty cool though....

Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors was TOP! The plantlike baddies in that where geniunely sinister!!!

Real G/B... Sucked farts. Sorry.

If we're going obscure though... big shout to LUDWIG... a weird egg/crystal thing that lived in a tree and played violin... SURREAL!

King Rollo and Towser was geeeenius too!

Yeah, but you like the Care Bears... which is worrying. A bunch of bears who spied on kids from a cloud... then went meddling in their business. Stalkery antics galore. You'll be telling me the virtues of Rainbow Bright and Teddy Ruxpin next! x
