Paul Heaton & Jacqueline Abbott ... aka The Beautiful South in Llandudno where we're stopping a couple of nights. The things you can do when the kids are gone & earning !!
Really rather good.
Really rather good.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It'll probably me doing the piping upPrufrock wrote:Have you eaten a thesaurus, man?
Yeah, course it's a matter of opinion if someone's funny, but it's a pretty dull point to be making: different people like different things. Presumably you'll be piping up next time someone says Mrs Brown's Boys is shite saying it's all a matter of opinion ?

Watched an old (and lengthy) film tonight: The Gospel according to St Matthew. Not for everybody, part sub titled and made in Italian. Definitely more Cornerhouse than Market Hall and made in stark black and white. . Rather than relate a view, it's here for anybody interested. :

Surprised you could be in the same room as him. What with him being a raving socialist and all that. Isn't his music pretty political too?bobo the clown wrote:Paul Heaton & Jacqueline Abbott ... aka The Beautiful South in Llandudno where we're stopping a couple of nights. I have This Morning on. There's this chap presenting it - I can't quite work out if he's one of these transgender types or not, however, he is, without a shadow of doubt the most ridiculous looking human being that I've ever clasped eyes on. More ridiculous than that Gwok one, even.

Been to see Eddie the Eagle.
Basically Cool Runnings on ski's but great fun and I really enjoyed it.
Slight bugbear with the casting tho, I've no idea what Christopher walken and Hugh Jackman were doing there!? Jackman the fit and healthiest looking alchy ever and with a terrible American accent ( I hate bad accents, just cast someone with the right one!?) hes no John candy!
Keith Allen and The wife's mate Jo Hartley are brilliant tho and Taron Egerton is excellent. Big future that lad!!

Finally got round to watching Spectre. I gave it half a star more than Skyfall, so that'll be, er, half a star then. Utter garbage and another 2.5 hours if my life I'll never get back.

Just don't compound the crap levels and waste any more hours by getting conned into watching "London has Fallen." Ask Worthy....Bijou Bob wrote:Finally got round to watching Spectre. Not sure I count as any "judge" I enjoyed Spectre in a "still not Bond, but many stars better than Skyfall" manner.TANGODANCER wrote:Just don't compound the crap levels and waste any more hours by getting conned into watching "London has Fallen." It can't be as bad as 'Olympus has Fallen', which is in my all-time worst three films list.TANGODANCER wrote:Just don't compound the crap levels and waste any more hours by getting conned into watching "London has Fallen." You'd be pleasantly surprised with a new addition to your list...Bruce Rioja wrote:It can't be as bad as 'Olympus has Fallen', which is in my all-time worst three films list.TANGODANCER wrote:Just don't compound the crap levels and waste any more hours by getting conned into watching "London has Fallen." Ah, I've just looked it up and it's written by the same bunch. Am I allowed to add an addition to my list without actually having watched it?Worthy4England wrote:You'd be pleasantly surprised with a new addition to your list...Bruce Rioja wrote:It can't be as bad as 'Olympus has Fallen', which is in my all-time worst three films list.TANGODANCER wrote:Just don't compound the crap levels and waste any more hours by getting conned into watching "London has Fallen." Re: What are you watching tonight?
Batman Vs Superman.....absolute pile of W*nk. As a total geek in regards to superheroes etc, I've been looking forward to this for 18mths. Having watched it, I severely want to punch Zack Schnyder squarely in his pompous mush and stamp on his ballsack until its the colour of the batmobile.
He's ruined what could have been a cracking film (for its genre anyway). Too be fair, Ben Affleck is really good as Batman, its just the rest of the film is a hodge-podge of bits stolen from the graphic novel, the cartoons, previous films and Schnyders reluctance to follow correct storylines from the comics that would have made more sense, than his attempts at "look at me, I've made batman vs Superman how i wanted to make it and feck the fans !!!"
