What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

I watched Eye In The Sky last night. Not brilliant, but tense and interesting.
Is that on sky movies now, or still Sky Store?

Well you ought. It's about Somali pirates. They turn up with branches from the Qudhac tree as replacement lower limbs and each have a Nubian Woodpecker on one shoulder. However, they don't get wankered on rum due to the prohibition of alcohol under customary Islamic Shariah law, which makes them absolutely shit pirates in my perfectly honest opinion.

Road to Perdition was a decent Tom Hanks film...

Just caught up on the first three episodes of Tutankhamun on ITV Player. Decently made and played so far.

I've gone back to The Blacklist after getting up to date on Westworld, which gets better each episode. I even went back and watched the film from 1973. It's rubbish.

I cant take any Tom Hanks criticism seriously, hes always (except Cloud Atlas) a pleasure to watch. even when the film is a bit of a turkey!

that aside, he always seems like a really nice bloke, he was on desert island discs recently - impossible to like him after listening to that.

tipped for another oscar with this new film Sulley too...

Just watched A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence. Absolutely brilliant. I don't know how to start to describe it beyond it being a crash course in every emotion. Oh, and where it's funny, it's very funny. A real look at your own life, those of those around you, and the traits we all have in common to different degrees when dealing with others.

:) Glad you liked it! You'll now be glad to learn (if you haven't already) that there's two more films that form a loose thematic trilogy. Same style - fixed camera/no cuts/amazing depth of field/all on sets/vaguely related vignettes.

Brilliant stuff, Beefy :)

I was told this afternoon about the other two so immediately got them ordered up when I got home.

Apparently (and this is from a highly knowledgeable chap) we need to also check out a couple of Icelandic films called 'Of Horses and Men' and 'Rams'. (So I've ordered them up too :) )

And also a bunch of stuff by the Finnish director, Aki Kaurismäki.

watched Supersonic, the Oasis documentary. great film, LOL funny, and a nice bit of nostalgia for anyone mid-thirties-ish.

i have not played an Oasis record for donkeys, it all went a bit mainstream for me, even my dad had a morning glory cd in his car! I got bored of the liam & noel show, and oasis fans were just dicks really - but Definitely Maybe was a seminal album for this 15yr old lad from a northern town.

i hope they dont reform.

Billed as being from the same filmakers who made Amy, but im too not sure about that...

I watched '13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi' over the weekend..

If you like a good old Murican shoot-em-up it's a good watch!!
