Sky HD. Startlingly clear, slightly off-putting on some things 'cos you find yourself admiring the knots in the wood behind the protagonist's head (or the spots thereupon).
Bloody good for football, though. U21 championships rendered crystal clear. Everyone else looks very skilful, we've got big buggers who score off corners...

Wasn’t sure whether to post this is the ‘What are you watching tonight?’ thread or the ‘What is your guilty secret?’ thread!
I’ve just been watching ‘Looking for Eric’ and I thought it was fantastic.
I saw a brief documentary on the making of the film a couple of days ago and C*ntona said the director, Ken Loach, was aiming for a film packed with humanity. He certainly achieved that!
This is one of those brilliant heart warming films that’s got ‘made in Britain’ stamped all over it. It’s about a postman named Eric, his dead loss of a family, his mid-life crisis and his spliff-induced psychosis in which his hero Eric C*ntona turns up to guide him towards rediscovering himself. The Eric of the title hasn’t got a lot going for him but what he has got is mates who he can depend on, and when the film descends into Manchesters darker side it’s the mates who Eric turns to.
There are faces in it you will know; Justin Moorhouse from Phoenix Nights and John Henshaw from Early Doors to name two, but mostly it’s a cast of unknowns (to me)who do a first rate job.
Yes, there are more than a few of those red rags in it and numerous clips of C*ntona in action but get over it and don’t let it stop you going to watch this film. I loved it.

If there is a better comedy sketch show on tv I haven't seen it. Brilliant.

I thought the "snooker" sketch was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.Verbal wrote:More like hit, miss, hit, hit, miss, hit, miss, miss, hit, miss, hit hit, miss, hit.BWFC_Insane wrote:Hit and miss though.Verbal wrote:Watched 'That Mitchell and Webb Look' last night'.
