Re: What are you watching tonight?
Watched a film called White God at the weekend. Hungarian. Subtitled.
started off well enough and thought it was going to end being a schmaltzy affair. Yet in the last third or so it decided to go absolutely batshit mental. Fair play on it for doing so. Wouldn't say it's great but definitely worth a watch. Though people with an aversion to animals in distress may not want to watch (not actually in distress, but 'acting' like they are).

Nero fiddles while Gordon Burns.

I have Nightcrawler here to watch. Recco'd by The General (who has a 100% hit rate to date) but poopooed by Burnden Paddock.
We shall see.
We shall see.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Perhaps you were commenting on 'Lucy' then? Sorry. My misinterpretation.Burnden Paddock wrote:A case of mistaken identity. Shirley?Bruce Rioja wrote:I have Nightcrawler here to watch. Recco'd by The General (who has a 100% hit rate to date) but poopooed by Burnden Paddock.

Only one month and two days ago, Burnden Paddock wrote:Watched it the other night, as someone bought it for Mrs BP's birthday. Started off ok and quickly descended into nonsense. Anyone want the DVD?LeverEnd wrote:Lucy. As much as I admire Scarlett Johansen, this was utter shite. It almost made Transcendence look average.
I've got Nightcrawler to watch tonight, heard good things.
Tbh I don't get the attraction with Johansen either. Very average.

Right. It was Lucy that I was dissing. I can see where the confusion arose however.

Watched The Last Knights. Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman sounded promising. It wasn't. Don't bother.

And, just so you know (no spoilers), its the same core cast each week but playing different characters and each episode is set in house number 9, flat number 9, rail carriage number 9 etc etc.Bruce Rioja wrote:BBC2, Bish. Watched Apollo has fallen. Sort of "Die hard meets the Special Agents, meets North Korean terrorists". American presidents star in more films than Marylin Monroe ever did. Plenty action and "God bless the United States of America"

Do you mean Olympus Has Fallen, Tango? It's the biggest pile of contrite fecking shit and turdy bollocks that I've seen since Ocean's 12. On a serious note, if you haven't seen it, watch The Imitation Game. Absolutely terrific film based on Alan Turing's story..Please don't miss this, it's brilliant.
Staggering acting from Benedict Cumberbatch and a great cast of British actors. Charles Dance, Mark Strong, Steven Waddington and Kiera Knightley etc,etc..

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I thought Olympus Has Fallen was ok tbf. If you think that is shite, watch White House Down. Now that it is one of the biggest piles of shite that I have ever had the misfortune to start watching. I say start watching, as I gave up about 20 minutes in. Channing Tatum has to be one of the worst actors that I have ever had the misfortune to see!! On a par with Steven Seagal and Jason Statham, but he seems to believe his own hype.Bruce Rioja wrote:Do you mean Olympus Has Fallen, Tango?
