No good back-tracking now Mr. Clapp. You have, almost single handedly, removed the legacy of Python, Ab Fab, Men Behaving Badly, Green Room, etc., etc.
As I said, it's your fault.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Haven't seen the tv show. Mildly enjoyed the radio show when I've heard it and some stuff still gets quoted, can see why people wouldn't be keen though.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I struggle to find words appropriate to describing the crushing disappointment of, when looking forward to the R4 18:30 slot on a long drive home, discovering that that particular evening's lot is Count Arthur Strong. Life is sapped from my very being. It really is toe-curling. That it ever got onto the radio astonishes me; that it 's made it on to television is absolutely beyond the limit of my comprehension.William the White wrote:The Observer preview yesterday:bobo the clown wrote:I didn't ... Just seen the first episode of his new TV series on BBC2 and had tears rolling down my face. Very funny - in a very strange kind of way!
Glad you had fun. It wouldn't do to all be the same ....... I suppose.
It is an embarrassing failure... Do we really pay our licence fees for this rubbish?

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Anyone watch that televised murder case in Scotland the night before last?
The accused man (of murdering his own wife - no body, or signs of a murder) took the option of not going into the box to defend himself. I wondered what someone like Mummy would make of this cos to a layman like me it always suggests a sure sign of guilt.

Parker starring Jason Statham. Nonsense, but I do appreciate JS and his talents. J-LO is an appalling actress. Michael Chiklis aka Vic Mackey from The Shield is underused in it.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
After recco's from both Kinty and The Pirate, last night I watched Raining Stones. What a brilliant, gritty, down-to-earth film that had me laughing in some places and wanting to cry in others. I never realised that Bruce Jones is actually a damn fine actor. Talking of Bruce Jones, that's reminded me of something that I need to put in Spotty's Little Known Facts thread.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Have watched the first half of the first Bourne many times but never seen the second half. Put it on again last last night, got up to the bit where they park the mini and they both agree they'll never see it again and then the credits came on. Might start from there next time.
It's a bit like staying up late for match of the day and sitting through Fulham v Stoke and Wolves v Norwich... then we're next, that's a relief... what's this? Darlington v Yeovil???

Just watched The Wind That Shakes The Barley. So, as far as moving films go, that'll be kind of up there then?!

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Started to watch a movie, a 'comedy', on Sky. Can't remember the name of it, it's got Dan Ackroyd in it. About a congressman(?)/senator(?) trying to get re-elected. I could stomach about five minutes of it before I was hurling shoes at the tv. I turned it over after nine minutes. The worst film I've tried to watch this decade. I will not be giving it a second chance.
