What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Uh oh. Her (Blue Planet II), him (Robot Wars). One television, nay surrendah.
Both. Srictly, then..Her recorded summat and X Factor and stuff.
Me, Endeavour in the other room.
Get a cheap set Spots, saves a lot of aggro. I just couldn't stand all that soap stuff and what have you. Then again, a lot of programms can be watched on B.B.C and ITV players after the events. Death before dishonour...
I gave up... currently engrossed with land living blennies and moulting penguins.

Wednesday I watched the current episode of Peaky Blinders and last night, for about the 6th time over the years, without a doubt, the best Western ever: "Once upon a time in the West", with Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson and Jason Robards. Tonight it's "Brunel, The Man who built Britain" . 8-0'clock on Channel 5. Looking forward to that.

The Best Western Ever is The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. 8)
Once Upon a Time in the West is, on my list, merely the 5th best western. :P

Oh, dear dear no. Spaghetti westerns were okay, but Clint Eastwood was much better in Pale Rider, The Outlaw Josy Wales etc. None of them would rate in my Top Five, but let's hear yours first...

1. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly / alternatively Pale Rider
2. Dances With Wolves.
3. High Noon
4. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
5. Once Upon a Time in the West
6. Cowboys & Aliens
7. Heaven's Gate
8. ( the one with John Wayne where they drive the cattle from Dakota to Texas or somewhere).
9. (that deep grungy one about Billy the Kid, with Sam Peckinpah style slow motion bullets, and horseshit everywhere).
10. The Magnificent Seven (although I prefer the Samurai version).

Ahhh, and actually The Revenant probably pushes into the bottom half of the top 10.
And, although I can't remember its title the recent one where the bunch of bastards turn up at that isolated coach station with the sewing woman who runs it... that'll make about no.10 too.

I'd seriously advise you to try and go back right to series one if you can Bruce. It's absolutley riveting . It's brutal stuff but with a fantastic cast and great locations including Le Mans Crescent Bolton. A must see.

Aye, it's definitely worth a watch. Proper A-list stuff from the beeb too, with Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy.

As much as I admire Kermodes views on many films, there isn't a hope in hell of me ever watching Bladerunner.

Girl Friday has just lent me Hidden Figures, which is the story of three black girls working secretly for NASA who served as the brains behind the launch of John Glenn into orbit. I'm looking forward to watching it.

Christ, we agree on something :D.

B-movie that went through cult (sometimes understandable) to actual massive status.

Not only are they shit, they just make the same one over and over again. Unfortunately because dragged along to a few in my time. Hoping to resist the latest.
