I'm just disappointed that Rory Stewart's out, as now I'm going to have to vote for somebody I don't want to vote for in a general election, just to do my bit in keeping Corbyn out.

You probably reflect most of the population with those sentiments Bruce. There’ll be a lot of people voting at the next election for the party they dislike the least which is a shame. Personally I’ll probably come down on the labour side of that decision, partly because I’m in a safe Tory seat and the local MP is a bit of a knob.

I’ve noticed the last few weeks how the Tories are obviously being told to mention Corbyn as much as possible which again reflects the general public attitude towards him and Labour’s big problem. They know people will be against him being in charge. No conservative MP mentions labour, instead opting for the full Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party at every opportunity. In the debate the other night Gove went out of his way to have a go at Corbyn, and again today we’re being told that whatever happens we mustn’t let Jeremy Corbyn into number 10. Conservative plan is obviously to paint him as some sort of political bogey man, winning votes by putting fear into the public at the prospect of him as PM.

Yet, apparently many UK businesses are not close to being ready.

HMRC launched the Transitional Simplified Procedures scheme in February, aimed at easing imports in the event of the UK leaving the customs union and single market abruptly.

Fewer than 10% of the firms estimated to require the status had applied for it as of 26 May.

So of today's newspaper saying the next door neighbour is a die-hard Remainer. You can understand why she has done it this way and why it has 'probably' been blown out of all proportion. Not heard the audio but if everyone phoned the police every time neighbours had a domestic argument, then we would need about 100 timed more coppers than we do now.

Even the Guardian article says a man's voice was calmer and telling a woman to calm down and she was screaming and shouting.

I'm not a Boris fan but this is just ridiculous.

The neighbour of the neighbour of the girlfriend of the next potential prime minister, is the boss of my sister-in-law's daughter's boyfriend.
Anyway, he's told my niece who's told my wife that the neighbour - Eve Leigh- is a leftwing idealogue and stuck up bitch (the neighbour of Ms Leigh being a council tenant, and both Ms Leigh and Ms Symonds live in flats that used to be council property) who has organised something called the Camberwell Collective or somesuch which have been hounding Boris Johnson ever since he turned up some months ago in their eco-socialist 'hood. Pure venom on legs is how he describes Ms Leigh.

I think the press reaction is very odd. Individual journalists pearl-clutching about his right to privacy while the publications they work for splash pages of print about it (continuing their long tradition of spying/hacking et al).

It seems to be fairly common ground that there was an almighty row and the sound of things being smashed. Having volunteered in my younger days for a domestic violence charity I must say that the idea that calling the police in those circumstances is anything other than the right thing to do is wrong, IMO.

In fact, I think it was probably just a row with no violence and we've all been there.

However, I also think that people are entitled to expect that story investigated, and if you want to be PM you have no expectation of privacy when the police are called to a potential domestic incident at your house (how far they coverage then goes depends on what is found out, and if it's just that it was a row, any intrusion should end there).

Even by modern standards I've found the approaches to this incredibly partisan!
