What are you eating and drinking tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

^^ "charcoal thins" ??

Now .... beer, spirits, wine & port. I bet that sits well on the stomach.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

a saw some fish in asda - salmon fillets with black pepper rubbed on the top. they had been sliced into four pieces.

the label told me they were "hand sculpted"...

To start: Pea, mint & pesto risotto, aged parmesan shavings.
Main: Butter poached hake, fennel & onion bhaji, bombay potatoes, curried butter sauce.
To finish: Roquefort cheese & poached pear, candied walnuts, charcoal thins & Swedish crispbread.

Drinks through the evening: A pint of Directors, a G&T, two glasses of Pinot Noir and Port with the cheese.

All of it absolutely bang on. :)
Going to be a good week for the alcohol-free regime.

i have a massive tonnage of bramley cooking apples to get through - always do at this time of year as the tree spunks them all over my lawn!

today - huge vat of parsnip and apple soup... now that's particularly good and not quite as damaging in the flab department as the many apple crumbles that I have been producing!!

Wahaca in Manchester at the weekend with Miss BP. Mainly excellent food, but unfortunately shit service.

Steak tacos, chicken taquitos and quesadillas, chicken burrito and a side of refried beans, green rice and cheese. The only disappointment on the food front was the very poor churros.

The gobshite of a waitress couldn't spoil our lunch, as much as she tried! In spite of her, we will be going back!

^ We were there about three weeks ago (it's on the triangle opposite Print Works) and had excellent food and excellent service. Really nice steak 'done the Mexican way.'

If that's the bavette steak, as a main, then the bloke on the next table ordered it. Looked and smelled amazing. Out of interest what was the yellow stuff across the top of it. I couldn't see a mention of it in the menu description.

The issue that I had with he service was being given the wrong drink and then when paying by the app, finding something on there at £7 that I hadn't ordered. I then had to ask twice for it to be removed, whilst the waitress blamed someone else. The daft bint put it on there herself. She told me so!

^ No, it was on the menu as 'British steak done the Mexican way' and was only available as medium rare but with all the bits of green rice etc that you mention. Really tasty!

There's a wine glass's worth of saturated fat in a standard donner kebab. The bit of my brain that always gets me home also always reminds me of this and steers me clear of them. :)

well ive scratched the itch now and wont be having one again for a while... tbh it was quite a reputable, authentic looking turkish restaurant in Woking. id gone past a few times and thought it looked alright, then last night i took the plunge. first time ive had one in years and it had lots of nice fresh salad and was served in homemade bread... felt really dehydrated this morning tho so mustve been full of salt n'all....
