She's as fit as feck though. I'd have asked her to wear even less, prior to nipping off to the cubicle.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 7:14 amNot angry but both irritated and amused. Anyone see the story of the lass asked to cover up before her flight? She was wearing a bikini type top.
Her reaction to the flight crew asking her to put a jacket on? "I was shaking I was so upset" (before tweeting her upset obviously) & then demanding the crew take action against a male passenger (Hoboh?) who'd told her to "Put a jacket on you stupid cow!"

I went to look at the story. I don't get it. She can wear what she wants. It was hardly that shocking. But then I realise I'm old when I think "you'd have been bloody cold love an hour in".Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 7:14 amNot angry but both irritated and amused. Also what Bruce says. If a young lady was dressed like that on my flight the last thing I'd do would be asking her to "cover up". Some people.....

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
No passenger asked her to cover up. The crew interpreted a policy. One passenger sick to death of her fxcking whingeing after being told to cover up by four staff and a flight manager, with the flight in danger of being delayed, eventually shouted out "shut up you pathetic woman. Put a fxcking jacket on".BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 11:26 amI went to look at the story. I don't get it. She can wear what she wants. It was hardly that shocking. "EBIT macht Frei" used twice in an internal conference, later leaked, by an executive of Volkswagen (the company set up by Hitler)(Hitler, architect of the mass execution of six million people through concentration camps, one of which infamously has Arbeit Macht Frei emblazoned above the entrance), is becauseBruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 10:48 amBollocks. Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Oh yeah, and by the way, in Deutsche spraken EBIT comes out almost exactly the same as Arbeit in English speeken... just a very very slight difference on the emphasis on the first vowel. Very subtle. Almost like he planned it...Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 3:29 pm"EBIT macht Frei" used twice in an internal conference, later leaked, by an executive of Volkswagen (the company set up by Hitler)(Hitler, architect of the mass execution of six million people through concentration camps, one of which infamously has Arbeit Macht Frei emblazoned above the entrance), is becauseBruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 10:48 amBollocks. Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Been told by a few acquaintances and seen in BBC "My News" that a story is trending regarding a woman rescued by the police after overturning a car in a field somewhere. She was instructed to install an app called what3words and hey presto she got rescued.
Intrigued I've just downloaded it. Sat in a cafe in far northwest of Croatia in one seat, having opened and closed the app 37 times, have been given 37 different results. Now, I know Croatia ain't Somerset, but it's still on planet Earth and satellites fly over it.
The unique three words supposedly cover a 3x3 meter square (9 square meters). Even given that GPS isn't always accurate to the square meter, nonetheless 37 different hits means that this app cannot possibly be even close to accuracy across a 21x21m grid, which is a staggering 441 square meters!
I have three words for the app what3words: Pile of Crap.

Nothing to do with the app itself. Problem with GPS accuracy of your phone.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 3:00 pmBeen told by a few acquaintances and seen in BBC "My News" that a story is trending regarding a woman rescued by the police after overturning a car in a field somewhere. It will be down to the accuracy demanded by each app I guess. It might also depend on where you are using the apps as signal/3or4G/Wifi all determine accuracy as per that article.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 1:30 pmBWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 4:42 pmNothing to do with the app itself. What3words maps down to 3m square - so I'm guessing the standard inaccuracy of say an iphone (5-8M) might not be high enough to resolve such a grid in a repeatably accurate manner....

OS app using my phone's GPS maps down to 1 square meter accuracy on a 9 out of 10 basis. On the 1 out of 10 when it doesn't is because my magnetic clip on my phone's case had upset the GPS alignment. A simple realignment restores accuracy.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 1:50 pmIt will be down to the accuracy demanded by each app I guess. What3words is orders of magnitude worse. So many orders that it is useless. Those orders of magnitude are a failure of the app not the phone, or its GPS system.
