To amuse those in on the joke back at BA. ?
Amos / Dutch / Ghost is a poster well known on a number of BWFC sites but as for some time been a regular on BA.
It would seem that someone (from BA) decided to post on here as Amos, as some sort of joke.
Obviously many on here who do not know him would just see a new member to the site, whilst others more familiar with Amos and BA would have seen the joke right away.
As many on BA read this forum - and visa versa - the posts from 'Dutch Amos' would soon have been seen and commented on at BA - which is exactly what happened.
Obviously those not knowing what was going on felt bemused but those that did probably found it somewhat amusing.
I certainly do not condone such stunts between sites - but it was done in fun and not in a nasty way and no harm as been done.

Wasn't saying anybody did say it was nasty - I was just pointing out it was clearly meant as fun and not done in a malicious way.TANGODANCER wrote:Don't remember anyone claiming it as nasty, more Mitch than Natasa.sluffy wrote: I certainly do not condone such stunts between sites - but it was done in fun and not in a nasty way and no harm as been done.
As for Mich - he is a regular on BA too!
So in answer to Hobinho anyone is welcome to join us - we already have a great many mutual members - but if you do join then expect a lot of leg pulling from those two - and many more!

I know. Irony doesn't really come across on a forum, does it?sluffy wrote:Sorry, I missed a word out – which I have now amended.Gary the Enfield wrote:sluffy wrote:I was a mod on here for a brief time - but have not been for while time now.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:So, a Mod on Burnden Aces but not on here?
Just wanted that clear in my head.
Clearly the poster Dutch Amos is connected to the Burnden Aces site and was (is?) posting here for a laugh to amuse those in on the joke back on BA but even so I did think their behaviour was outrageous enough to warrant calls for an instant banning.
I certainly would not encourage any of our BA members to disrupt any of our fellow BWFC sites but it was done in fun and certainly not maliciously and I'm sure no harm was meant.
Think we can all shake hands and move on now.
So you agree, then?
If I had thought he should have been banned I would obviously not have spent my time arguing for them not to be.

Sluffy,
To be fair, taking the piss out of me on site is fine, but to take it to another site, where I was not even signed up to before it all began is a joke too far.
Firstly it does blacken my name for those who do not know me - and yes although that on BA is somehow done in jest in literally not funny at all on here
Secondly, this so-called sort of humour should have stayed on BA
Thirdly, no harm been done - sorry Sluffy but you may think that, but I don't!
Also actually giving the place where I work is a complete no no - especially as at the time I wasn't signed up - how far could THAT joke go before I literally get a sack because of a so-called joke!
