What a load of tosh

What a load of tosh

Post by Hoboh » Wed Sep 15, 2010 10:59 pm

Spoken by a man whose church hides bigger pervs than Gary Glitter! :whack:
http://news.uk.msn.com/uk/articles.aspx ... =154678668
I belong to that bunch but am ashamed by the way they run things, a Sodam and Gomorrah type of event needs to run through the Catholic church IMHO.
And Charging to see the Holy Father, that is well taking the mickey!!!! Why should C of E or athiests stump up tax for his security? He ain't their Pope after all he should come in Easy Jet and book in a B&B using the 3/4 empty monolithic structures called churches to preach to his flock, talk to the real people in our religion, the Pope cannot start or stop Poverty or wars so why bother with business or governments? The only place of office he should go is the DPP to hand over evidence about the dodgy Priests.
Hoboh feels really strongly about this

Which democratic election did the pope win, just out of interest?

Blair praying the night before he sends people to die, kill or main, not really the action of a loving religous man is it? the 2 are totally incompatable.

When do we get to send someone to the Vatican to lecture them then?

Well no, as your first point quite clearly highlighted. So what does a theocratic oligarch of an undemocratic exclusive religion have in common with the democratically elected representive of a state? I'm intrigued, it was your comment, I'd like to know.

I'd be interested to see how much of the bill for those the Vatican footed. It may be a lot. I doubt it.

I'm sure that popes are elected by the College of Cardinals which, whilst a long way from universal suffrage, does put a slight dent in the point you are trying to make.

It's a process that is akin to Gordon Brown's elevation to high office, for instance.

And now I've got involved in a religious thread after all this time! Damn.

Is one of his roles the Head of State of the Vatican?
If so, I suppose it counts as a state visit, hence follows whatever happens were (subjunctive, Monty?) Obama, Kim Jong-Il, Sarkozy, etc to come here.

This.. Vatican City is a country in it's own right. He's the leader of it
