The fumble at the start of the 4th was the play that eventually won it for the Pack. Only saw the end of the 3rd and the whole of the 4th quarter.

Well done Green Bay. Came good at just the right time.

all tolled a pretty good superbowl game, i fell asleep briefly half way through the 4th. this in itself was a record. However the BEP (+ essential Guests) were an absolute disgrace. and christina aguero got the anthem wrong!

Didn't have the sound on the ground floor and just seeing the event on the TV downstairs made me stay downstairs. Heard it was atrocious, and not really any surprise.

I read that there is a Player Lockout, and that the top two at the NFL have had their Salarys reduced from $10 Million to $1.

The other day I was walking to the Second hand Sport shop to get a 'My Philly 76ers' T-shirt. Only because I like the TV show It's always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I had a Cig Butt but didn't want to throw it on th ground, saw a hard rubbish box so went to put it in that. I rifled through it a bit and saw the back of a magazine with a Marlboro ad and thought "Awesome I'll have that". Turn it around and it's the mag for Super Bowl 23!!! (XXIII) (1989)
What a find.

The lockout started on March 12 when the players' union walked away from federal mediation talks and dissolved itself (meaning individual players could sue the NFL - a bit complicated).

Ah, no I am not a bin dipper 8)

Hard rubbish is some councils happens once a year and the streets turn into a goldmine.

But in my council it's do it whenever then call the council, you get three a year.

looking through Hard rubbish is legitimate (illegal).
Did you know in really rich suburbs it has been known that some people throw out near new washing machines and stuff.

Last night my partner made me go back to a street to get a kids toy parking lot, it's filthy and wrecked.

the other night my partner made us put a wooden (light) couch on the roof of the car.

Bin dipping is going through trash, hard rubbish is Stuff, good stuff 8)

I don't quite follow the bold part - seems oxymoronic.

Yes it is Moronic.

Legitmate: Lot's of people do it, A family of Bin Dippers were going through the same box today when I drove past today.
I went yesterday with my 1 and a bit year old to get some matchbox cars but they were gone but I did get a Spiderman and a Triceratops.
The other week when driving from home the Neighbors Nature strip was full and there was a bike, it was gone soon after.

Illegal: It's Scavenging. Once I read an Obituary of a Police Officer maybe, and he was proud of the time he Civilian Arrested a guy trying get get something.

A great show on going through trash is Season 3 Episode 1 of It's always Sunny in Philadelphia. Entitled 'The Gang finds a Dumpster Baby'

Relating to NFL, They try out for a team in the next episode.

I'm still confused. Lots of people smuggle or break the speed limit but it's not legitimate to do so. I fear much of the rest of the post is incomprehensible to me.

spiriting away wardrobes , tvs , forty eight 48-year-old newspapers , fridge freezers must be "fair dinkum"

stealin' old food, chopped up credit card bills, soiled bandages etc must mean youre homeless.

no doubt Discovery TV will be filmin' a reality documentry tv series in his hometown next month.

probably called "White Goods" .

it'll get cancelled when some kid on it gets cancer from taking a old tv to bits.

:/

somethin's gotta replace hard knocks with rex ryan.

I think what 2399 is saying is this...

"legitimate" - as in "accepted practice" - the stuff is left out with this in mind - a bit like Freecycle* - or what the americans call a "yard sale" - but where everything is free. "legitimate" as in you won't get called names or looked down on for doing it. (even if it is technically illegal - ie. the authorities disapprove - but I doubt they routinely enforce their disapproval) - so it is not thieving or covertly going through peoples' bins (as if you were homeless and looking for food - or a conman looking for documents for identity fraud) - and would not carry the stigma that such activities would.

*over here we have summat called Freecycle - where people give away stuff that would otherwise go to landfill, and saves them a trip to the tip. what 2399 is describing sounds like a more free-for-all version of that.

It's 'Legitimate' among the or most people I know.
There would probably be people out there that would look down on it.
