Re: Today I'm happy about......
The former Mrs Rioja's sister now lives on Shetland. They keep inviting me up there but I know I'll never want to come back. These are some snaps from her living room.

Wow. Imagine having those views from your living room!
We stayed on the seafront on holiday this year and I loved hearing the waves as I was drifting off to sleep.

Incredibly therapeutic, isn't it?! Whenever I go camping I always look to pitch as close to a stream / beck as I can for the same reason.Gooner Girl wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 1:44 pmWow. Imagine having those views from your living room!

Pretty sure there’s been some scientific research about the physics/mental benefits of being by the sea/water.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 1:52 pmIncredibly therapeutic, isn't it?! Very lucky to have such a view from the living room and bedroom. View from my office is nearly as good, though less so for getting stuff done.

Good family and neighbours, God bless them all. Wife and I are both currently incapacitated, she from a gone-wrong hip op and me from a vicious arthritis flare up in neck, thumbs and a knee (this what ended my football days years ago , as the cartlidges got shredded and it visits at all the wrong times) . She's on a zimmer and I'm on two sticks and but for the good souls we'd be knackered. I can manage the local shop and small dog walks at a push, but three daughters and neighbours are being wonderful. Night time is worse, I haven't had a good night's sleep in a week, but it will all pass in time God willing. Always somebody worse off than ourselves....

Sorry to hear you’re struggling Tango. Hope things improve soon but what a great attitude and neighbours to have. In these unsettling times politically when those that are entrusted with the good of this country don’t seem to care a jot about the majority of its inhabitants we all need to pull together to help each other where possible. Kindness wins.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 7:15 pmGood family and neighbours, God bless them all. Indeed, in time all things pass. I sympathize as my wife and I have been a bit like you and yours lately. Things do improve. The wife hasn't dislocated her artificial hip for over a year and it has been 6 months since I broke any bones! Take care and be right for the holiday.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 7:15 pmGood family and neighbours, God bless them all. Just trying to make myself feel better about leaving my 30’s next year. Definitely not happy about that!

At risk of being stereotyped here but today I’m happy about my new hoover! Sooo much better then the old one. Doesn’t take much to excite me these days clearly!
