Found some video footage of you Worthy, from last time you got on the track.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 9:53 amThere's hope for me yet!LeverEnd wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 7:38 amSaw that. 3 mile plod for me today with friend and dog. Still super slow. It’s a bit soul destroying. Devoured an entire chocolate orange afterwards I was so depressed about it!

Didn’t need to know that. Why can’t you be encouraging like Worthy?Gary the Enfield wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 2:43 pmThat's 278 calories a mile...…..Gooner Girl wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 11:23 am

Think of it the other way around. You can have a third of a chocolate orange for every mile you do. Take the positives!Gooner Girl wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 5:17 pmDidn’t need to know that. I was talking to myself. Working out how many chocolate oranges I can have after a half marathon.Gooner Girl wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 5:17 pmDidn’t need to know that. Re: The athletics/running thread
Just back from a late night swim today. Swam 45 lengths so well over 1k and it only registered about 100 ‘steps’ on my fitbit.
Pool eerily quiet and a one way system in the changing rooms in place which meant sharing the men’s showers with them afterwards which felt a bit weird. Drew the line at the urinals

RIP Chris Smith. A top class fell runner who sadly died whilst running on holiday in Scotland today. He competed for our club in XC And whilst I didn’t know him well personally I had seen his face around plenty. Leaves a wife and 2 young children. Can’t imagine how devastated his family will be right now

Just about to re-start my abs workouts again. If I never post again it may be that I didn’t survive. Need to trim down this lockdown tummy somehow.

BP and I have agreed to take part in our first 10K of the year this coming Sunday, over the hills of Rossendale (that won't mean much to you, but they're the sort of hills you find wind farms at the top of).
May the bridges I burn light your way

Northern fells?! Probably barely a molehill compared to Ditchling beacon Take it gently with BP. He’s not as fit as he used to be! Let him stop for a breath if he needs it...

Frankly I’m dreading 5k tomorrow after about 3 weeks off. I think you’re mental running 10k up a hill but there we go. Sure Bruce will give you a piggy back if needed.Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 10:33 pmTbf I thought the cyclists going up Ditchling Beacon were mental. Having had to teeter down the steep hill by mine last night through wet leaves at roughly the same 'speed' I went up it, I'd say that trial shoes might be in order for Sunday if you have a pair, Owd Lad.Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 10:33 pm
