The Scottish Pub Leage players are not on a court with a roof on, so currently off court watching the rain.

Being a devoutly religious man, surely Murray can arrange for the rain to stop with the man upstairs?

Troiki plays good tennis, loses in straight sets in less than 90 mins.. Djokovic in real form. Cracking stuff.

Not looking that way. :D

I'd love a Brit to win Wimbledon just for a change. I'd like Murray to win. I want to like him....

I just can't..

I'll admit going three sets down is a brave move by JMDP.

Murray looks fooked all ways here. Seems to have no energy and his usual tactic of trying to wear the opponent down won't work against Ferrer, quite the opposite.

Ferrer has this match by the balls, if he doesn't fook up then Murray is a goner!

Murray's persisting on playing to Ferrer's forehand whilst Ferrer does the opposite with better effect. Ferrer look the more mobile of the two right now.

Don't think it's got anything to do with bottle on this occasion. He's just being outplayed.

And Murrays issue is that he's not great at winning quick points. And Ferrer is 'out-rallying' him.

I'm not sure, i think the two are linked, is he just outplayed each time against people he beats routinely on other occasions? It happens too often to just put it down to playing badly each time it comes to the really big moments in his career.

The expectation has got too much for him, since Nadal got knocked out and Roddick and everyone saying the path was clear for him to get to the final.

Nah cos the point is that as you go through a tournament the opposition get better.

Ferrer might have only beaten him on clay before but he's been gradually improving on all surfaces and you only have to watch this to see how hard it is for Murray to win a point.

That's not bottle, that's about his opponent being better on the day and perhaps better overall for the future.

Remember for a while Murray was a better player than Djokovic. Then Novak worked hard on his game and improved.

I suspect Murray works hard but just doesn't have anything more to squeeze out.......

Hmm too much of a coincidence every time for me.
He's got the talent so after so many near misses there has to be one key factor he's lacking to win a major. He can beat the big players, has done many a time, just not when it counts.

I dont doubt he works hard, i just think he lacks an instinct.

He's reached what, three finals? And each time he's lost to a better player. At the us open he beat Nadal in the semi but had nowt left for the final.

Bottom line is that for a five set tournament he's not quite good enough to blow the better players away and have the energy to play well when needed.

Murray has to play at his peak to get through the last few rounds whereas, Federer, Djokovic, Nadal etc are good enough to be able to drop down a gear every so often.

IMO.
