For me, Enoch, I'm ever so glad that the alteration of the petticoat revolution did not occur.

Also for me, the altar of cricket is The Ashes. :pray: :)

Virat Kohli's pulling his face about how short one of the Edgbaston boundaries was yesterday.

Two things;

One is that it was the same length for everybody, and the second is that India only hit one six in their entire innings, that coming in the final over.

And he also bowled his best spinner where Bairstow and Roy could keep hitting with the spin to said short boundary.

If I was Indian I'd be pretty miffed with their game management, to be honest. They went into the final 10 overs with 5 wickets in hand and still made precious little attempt to swing the bat, short boundary or not.

Mr Dhoni's average did all right out of it so there's that.

Watching the Kohli interview live he didn't make a big deal of it I don't think. He was asked about it and his tone was more it was a bit weird, same for both sides and they didn't handle it well, I thought.

His response to the last 5 overs was that was "something they needed to discuss in the dressing room". I think it's pretty obvious what was happening!

This. If it's obvious you have nothing to lose (almost already lost) why at least not give it a fight? I was following the Guardian commentary and shouted at my p.c. It didn't answer of course... :wink:

Ah, TANGO, that is indeed a conundrum. I was just eleven years of age when I came to Australia, which means that I have lived here for sixty-four years. As an approximation I suppose one could say that for every day I lived in my mother country I have lived six in my adopted country. Not that I'm complaining, although given the imbalance it is to be expected, I love this country and what it offers.

Still, I remember the various Ashes series over those years and the players from both sides who wielded the willow, or hurled or spun the leather, with much pleasure. I have in the past vowed to be a neutral in these contests and become simply an interested spectator. Of course, if it's a test match against any other country, then I'm behind the baggy greens. :pissed:

Yes, Prufrock, you are, indubitably, correct. Still, it never hurts to repeat oneself when prompted. 8)

Question - Kane Williamson's run-out. One of the fielding side (so, us then) had to have touched the ball before it hit the stumps for it to be valid, right?
