His police have killed thousands of small time pushers (or those suspected of being pushers) rather than arrest them and send them for trial. Of course they never go near the big bosses. I'm not sure we should applaud applying the death penalty to this type of petty crime, even on Planet Hoboh.Hoboh wrote:https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/ ... -son-whore

Whilst I'm not a fan of Martial law, or vigilantes, I do find it hard to support people's ideas that inhumane people should be protected by humane laws.
That being said, there are countries and regions where people are forcefully made to do the dirty work for drug barons etc. They really have no choice and I don't mean from a point of view where opportunities are limited, I mean more like "if you don't do this for me, I'll kill you and your family" kind of thing

Normally its the police killing their own dealers to prevent themselves getting implicated, or the police simply culling their competition since no real investigation takes place.Hoboh wrote:https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/ ... -son-whore

The problem is that you have a lot of corrupt officials and police deciding who is guilty and carrying out a death penalty. So you've got innocent people that happened to piss someone off being summarily executed.boltonboris wrote:Whilst I'm not a fan of Martial law, or vigilantes, I do find it hard to support people's ideas that inhumane people should be protected by humane laws.

Regardless of how nasty or naughty some of them are, you have to have independent oversight.

We could just adopt Sharia Law. Its an off the shelf solution, already tried and tested and wouldn't need any complicated legislation to enforce it.

Just off the current topic for a minute: We were passing Trinity Street Station yesterday about 2-30 or so? when five police cars arrived outside giving it the blues and twos grand style. We hung around for five minutes and as we were leaving an ambulance arrived. Not been able to find anything about the incident anywhere, not even Bolton News. Any clue?

This morning I saw two elderly ladies studying a lunch menu. One of them said, "I've not had much meat for ages."
She wasn't a looker.

Bizarre behavior by the mother, but some interesting points of law here. Does incest require sexual relations? Does marriage for that matter? The birth certificate apparently citing a different mother is also problematical. Personally I think if sexual relations can't be proved, the charge of incest fails in most jurisdictions although it appears Oklahoma may be a bit different.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I have this mental image of hordes of old bids surging down the M&S aisles, rolled up copy of the Daily Mail under one arm, emptying the shelves of Empire Pies, demanding trade deals with our allies in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and for the manager to explain to them what 600 grams is in real money.
