I was getting at the fact Bob might be trying to avoid legal troubles by naming namesAnnoyed Grunt wrote:Me or Max?ChrisC wrote:Go straight to jail. Meanwhile H from Steps (real name Ian Watkins) is now having his picture linked on Google news sites around the world when they're reporting stories about convicted paedophile & Lostprophets front man Ian Watkins.

Pretty serious cockup on their part this. There was a story a few years ago where a paediatrician was attacked by a mob of angry vigilantes looking to string up a local paedophile.

My favourite part of that story is that they found out she was a 'paedo' because she had it on a plaque on her house! It's your own fault IMO if you go advertising it.CrazyHorse wrote:Meanwhile H from Steps (real name Ian Watkins) is now having his picture linked on Google news sites around the world when they're reporting stories about convicted paedophile & Lostprophets front man Ian Watkins.

he sang the lead role in Joseph and the Amazing blah blah blah in Torquay a few weeks ago - my daughter was in the chorus... I've heard worse and I've heard better..LeverEnd wrote:Harsh HG! however - he has my daughter spitting feathers at the way he sang the famous tune - "I close my eyes"... I think he was conscious of having to sing and act and mean the words - which meant that he always sang it with an odd alliteration and changed the rhythm slightly... she has never forgiven him! not that I now sing it H-stylee on occasions most likely to irritate her or anything....

Today, 14th of Jan. we have Bill Roache, DLT & Rolf Harris all in Court on these sort of charges.
Amazing.
Amazing.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I notice that Harris has pleaded not guilty to the sexual assaults, yet the charges of making an indecent image of a child have not been put to him. That can only mean one thing, I suspect. His brief has successfully argued pre trial that an intended guilty plea to those charges will prejudice the jury in respect of the other charges.

Does America need an Operation Yewtree? Have to say I wasn't aware of this story, and brings up the whole 'can you seperate the art from the artist' debate again. I'd definitely feel uncomfortable watching one of his films now I've read that.

There is a lot of hearsay and supposition in that!

It was wierder than a lot of hearsay if I recall. The state, didn't pursue the case, whilst publicly stating they thought they had enough to convict on...Which sorta left Allen being pronouced guilty in the press, without it being legally proven one way or another...Beefheart wrote:Just saying I think it warrants further investigation.Prufrock wrote:There is a lot of hearsay and supposition in that!
