Sorry to disappoint,Pru, but in this case I listen to the Bish's views on composition and positioning. He knows his stuff on photography. In the finished work ( I'll stick that up in the painting thread shortly) I balanced things a little by adding a couple walking away along the headland. Sorry....

W@nker. I speak from the soul ... I paint from deep beliefs and raw emotion. I've been known to do a room in one day ... two coats.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Good job Tango and Bish. I like both the photo and painting, particularly the light and Bish's line thingy :)

Bish's photo actually put me in mind of The Cobb at Lyme Regis, made famous in Jane Austen's novel Persuasion and also in The French Lieutenant's Woman. A much bigger/higher breakwater, but guarding the harbour in the same way as the Brixham one..

Clearly she's taken the Prusense Internet Filter (PIF) with her. Thin end, big wedge, Blah, blah. There'll be KFC boxes in the bin, next.

For thebish. You're probably well familiar with double exposure stuff, but I saw this and imagine it blown up and framed (minus the owner tag) would be quite stunning, beautiful in fact.

I've just been off for four days on a narrow boat up the river severn and around the Droitwich Loop... The Severn was stunningly beautiful, as was the canal!

I was first mesmerised by this lady when she sang live with Dreadzone in Glasgow. She's not half bad behind the lens.

Little trip to the Lakes yesterday, specifically to photograph this tree and the view beyond. On the north shore of Buttermere it is reputedly one of the most photographed trees in England.

Ta. I traded all my Nikon gear in two weeks ago for a Fujifilm X-Pro2 mirrorless and a couple of lenses and have been out most days since then either around Manc or a little further afield. Absolutely loving it! No regrets whatsoever.

This is from Manchester last week, and I'm in it if you look closely.

Clapton. Had to post this as a result of your stunning photograph. I borrowed it to paint (hope you don't mind) :) , cropped it, took off what I didn't need, repitition of unchanging stuff, reeds etc, dropped the horizon for a bigger ( and a bit more threatening) sky and changed the mood a bit. I was happy enough with my painting, but when I went to take a pic of it the sun came out through our leaded kitchen window and gave me this quite amazing photograph. Brought the whole thing to life, not due to any photographic skills I can assure you, just sheer luck.
