The Royal Baby

Post by mummywhycantieatcrayons » Mon Dec 03, 2012 5:24 pm

I am pretty satisfied with our constitutional monarchy, but now that the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant we're all in for months of the bollocks that our royals seem to inspire these days. :|

I'm in paroxysms of delight at the news.

My partner has started knitting bootees for the little prince or princess.

The land will rejoice.

And we might have been able to avoid it for quite a while yet if you hadn't started a thread about it.

bored already.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

At least her bangers'll grow.

Boring as hell already though. Saw somebody's tweet earlier "national news because a royal has done something that millions do around council estates every year"

They got a response of: "buy a massive TV and smoke 60 fags a day and not fed there kids for a week?"

The only positive from this news.

I had the start of the newcastle-whoever match on R5..

the commentator said: "and we only hope that the excitement at St James' park will be as exciting as the news from St James' Palace..."

so - hoping for a fecking tedious, dull game then???

Blame the press not the royals for the annoying publicity. The press gives the people what they want (gossip about the upper crust), the royals give Mummy what he wants (on the whole a not bad stable democracy).

Your conversion to Che Guevara t-shirt wearing, beret-owning full fledged membership of the far left is almost complete :D.

 There needs to be a sarcasm smiley on here!

Acute morning sickness was something I assumed the ruling classes called bulimia. The lass looked like she needed a good meal before she got up the duff. Now she cant even keep a quails egg down :vomit:

Not really related to this baby thread, but the mention of knitting reminded me of something.

I was flying back from Brussels last Friday and a group of lads and dad's boarded and sat close to me. They sounded Swedish and most of the lads were wearing Lioverpool tops, probably on their way to Anfield I thought. Anyway, just after we landed, I glanced to the left and noticed one of the lads, who was about 11, was fully engrossed in knitting a blue and white striped bobble hat. Weird. :conf:
Hope is what keeps us going.
