Except this woman has been sectioned 20 times. TWENTY times.

She's clearly, and provably crackers. I'm nobody's soft touch but the woman needs proper care not 14 weeks in jail.

That was my soft, pinko, liberal side showing btw.

I hope it's appreciated.

This.

I might have some sympathy for the idea of microwaving anyone who let her have a cat knowing she'd been sectioned 20 times.

^ agreed. The family are happy to shift responsibility from her on to mental health services but what the hell were they thinking of letting her have a pet if she's as bad as they claim?

Sometimes, like, nutters do need locking up...as far as I'm concerned the kitten had more of a right to life than she does the dipsy vile nice person (ooo controversial).

See, I was thinking this. It's all very well bawling abuse from the public gallery and blaming every 4ucker else, but where were they in all of this?

To be fair, though she set it for 5 minutes she took it out after only one.

She is mentally ill. She hears voices. The queen gives her instructions and she has to obey.

Poor woman.

It's terrible what she did to the kitten.

But she isn't culpable. She is desperately ill.

Gazza

1. I'm serious. I found it a really disturbing story and think the judge has made a dreadfully wrong call.
2. I did recognise the gallows humour in the exchanges between you and the Welch clown...

Might I enquire, Willsterville, what do you think should be the role of her family in this?

I don't think that the district judge will have gone out on a limb and decided that she was sane.

The defence made representations about her previous mental state, to counter this health professionals must have been involved in deciding that she wasn't mad.

So f**k her, she got what she deserves.
