R.I.P Phil Hughes, a great young cricket who summed up the Australian fighting spirit in the way he played, the fact he died trying to play a ball that lesser man would have left sums him up perfectly.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Just realised that it's 13 years ago today that Stuart Adamson took his own life. :(

It certainly was a remarkable and very sad scandal. She was the same age as me but seemed to have lived a fuller life to that point! I remember a stripper in Montreal went under the name of Christine Peeler. She was apparently an intelligent woman and, to some extent, outlived her notoriety. I believe Stephen Ward's conviction is still under appeal.

Joe Cocker.

His "With a Little Help From My Friends" surely one of the greatest performances of the era. The best gas plumber of all time.

Scruffy bugger nonetheless.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

He lived in my house. Or maybe, perhaps, I lived in his. Alvin Stardust lived three doors away. This was, of course, non-contemporaneously. Any of it. But true nonetheless.

RIP Donna Douglas, who died today aged 81.

More familiarly known to us as Elly May Clampett, the only daughter of Jed Clampett, in the CBS television series The Beverly Hillbillies.

I didn't realize she was that old - she must have been in her thirties when she played Elly May. RIP.

Bizarre. I always thought Elly May was played by Sharon Tate. Roman Polanskis wife who was murdered by the Manson gang :conf:

She appears to have changed since I last saw her. I hope this doesn't spoil anyone's memories.

^ With all due respect your "Now" has been overtaken by certain events. And no thanks, you don't need to dig up any pictures...

"Now" should have been "recently" I must confess.
