Mike Smith, DJ & TV presenter from my youth.

It does mean Sarah Greene's back in the game though !! Y'know ... looking on the bright side.

I read this news, and the first thing I thought was that joke about Sarah Greene complaining that Mike Smith couldn't get his chopper up.

I am clearly a very bad person, and should be offering my condolences to people I don't know and will never meet.

Oh well.

Robin Williams. Aged 63 ... In an "apparent suicide". Wow. You just have no idea do you.

A great actor, "Dead Poet's Society" was great but I do have a great soft spot for "Good Morning Vietnam !!".

Nanu, nanu little man.

Yup, all the weirder that it seemed to be a hoax at first. DPS is ace, regardless of whether it's a History Boys rip-off.

Very sad to hear about this loss this morning. Loved his work right from Mork & Mindy onwards, but without a doubt my favourite was Mrs Fire.

he was a great talent, i loved some of his stand up stuff especially. film wise Mrs Doubtfire is a classic but One Hour Photo is the favourite.

I always liked his 'serious' stuff more. One Hour Photo, Insomnia, Awakenings. Favourite ever film of his was probably 'World's Greatest Dad', really, really dark comedy. Gutted.

Similar names, both with a history of mental illness. Somewhat understandable mistake!
