Proper shocked me that ^. Left behind a great musical legacy. I didn't know about his childhood trauma when he was abducted by his teacher.

RIP - much too young

R.I.P ex Fulham and England full back George Cohen, a memorable member of the 1966 World Cup squad. The late George Best said G.C was the best full back he ever played against. God rest his soul.

A true football legend. Pele trained with Brazil on Bolton's Bromwich Street pitches in 1966.
Edit. Just seen that The Bolton News beat me to that one. Not apologising though as I remember it.

I spend the summer in Bolton in 1966 and I remember it too, Tango. For me, Pele was always the very best I ever saw. Arguments could be made for Messi (never for Ronaldo)but for me Pele is number one. A sad loss.

With Bobby Moore in the 1970 WC I think. Great game we lost 1-0.

It is.

Heard a story on the news that dictator led government relaxed building regulation about 5 or so years ago to stimulate growth in the economy, alongside criminal builders that's hardly helped the situation.
