You'll be running out of koalas soon, and then what are you going to eat?

Re: The Weather
Thanks "Storm Gareth" for completely smashing to bits my back garden fence panels. So battered in the wind that even a piece of a concrete fence post was broken off one. I'm betting a few folks have had much worse damage.

Whatever smashed into "Tango's back passage" was, I believe, an Atlantic depression.

Where is it you're based, AT? I have a business trip up the west coast soon. If I'm in the area I will pop in.

Ah, cheers. I don't think I will be going that far north-west. Pity.
If I ever get up that way I will make sure I pop in.

Re: The Weather
There's a bridge to Skye? Good God! Last time I was there you took the ferry from Malaig (road to the isles) or over the Kyle of Lochalsh. Progress I suppose. Makes you a little less remote but the bonny boats won't be speeding any more.

There has been one for 20 years or so. You don't even have to pay a toll either! You can still get a ferry from Mallaig and the wee summer ferry from GlenelgMontreal Wanderer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 1:34 amThere's a bridge to Skye? Good God! Who decided to call the current storm 'Gareth'? It's a ridiculous name. All the Gareths I know are good at art, read The Guardian, that sort of thing.
