Checkmate...
Reading about mrkint and his magnificent win, maybe some on here would like to pit their chessy wits against one another?
Obviously, with the delay and all, tactics can be refined, book lore can be consulted etc etc. But, having done it previously, I know internet games can develop as interestingly as live or postal games... so anybody interested?
I'll post an opening once back in civilisation if anybody is.

Re: Checkmate...
Go on then. Post an opening and call it Game One (just in case more than one game at a time kicks off), but you'll need to give me six days or so before I'm back in blighty to reply.bwfcdan94 wrote:Would be interested but not exactly a pro.

Re: Checkmate...
Set out a board (an actual board). Then make a move as if playing me in real life. In order for me to know what you've done, post your move. It'll be either A-H, 1-8 notation or qp to qp3 notation. You can choose. Look up chess notation on the internet.bwfcdan94 wrote:Ok so what do I do then.
You have actually played chess before, haven't you?

Yes but only on an actual board of which I don't have one any more however will look up chess notation.

That's far too boring. We all want to follow page after page of 'A6 to B7' and such like. Some people can even play battleships on the same thread to really make things interesting.Jakerbeef wrote:Why not just do it here

*Disclaimer - this is in no way an attempt to hijak a thread, troll in any way or disregard the game of chess. I enjoy chess very much, and support the playing of chess among fellow football fans. I would also be interested in playing.

You should post all the moves so we can all follow the action.
