Three of us there to fix it - my SIL who currently has a slipped disc, my wife who has a history of sciatica and general bad back and me, so I dove in with the towels transfer water from floor to bath.... when I felt something go in my back! So that was now three of us with bad backs all stood around laughing hysterically! Ah, well, it'll fix itself and no harm done with the water, I hope - it'll all dry itself out given a few days. Merry Christmas one and all.
Welcome to the club. We had a pipe burst Christmas eve, hours before leaving to my brother's house to celebrate. Managed to get a plumber in to rip open the ceiling and replace the piping. Lucky it happened before the departure and even luckier to get a plumber in with such short notice, and only delay the departure time by a half hour.

Merry Christmas to all.

Nothing so drastic here. Just a silly mistake by a loved one. Everything soaked but I don't think any great harm done. It'll be reet, as we say :)

wasn't me calling it not a flood you drunkard!!!
You were angry they called it a flood, were you not?
That was me  Though, I think I was more bemused than angry. An inch upstairs, with flow downstairs counts. A couple of mm on a tiled floor downstairs is no worse than the aftermath of doing the dishes!

Poor old Hoboh declared an anger amnesty for Christmas Day and then gets blamed for someone else's rant. Shocking.
