My favourite story is an aquaintance of mine from Florida who, at the age of sixteen, was given a threesome by his girlfriend as a birthday present.

The third party? A teenage Megan Fox.

I've also been on Crimewatch, although that isn't a positive

I was in a film with Steve Berry off Top Gear. It was a safety film for the benefit of Post Office staff on how to do a daily check of your vehicle before turning out on the road.

I was also in a film with Brian Pringle (Dustbin Men etc) who was playing a character that killed someone and went and hid in the hills. I was driving the Police Land Rover when he was arrested.

I have given various interviews to camera for BBC and Granada local news about road safety checks and was on Tower FM a couple of times for the same thing.

All in all though, I'd rather have been involved in the Megan Fox story.

No claims to fame at all. Wife's cousin was Glyn Owen the Welsh actor, now deceased. Oh, and she went out with Gerry Marsden as a teenager (not sure I'd be boasting about that though)

I've got a mate (who's been fat and bald since he was 12) who reckons he's banged Jenny Powell. He was lying too.

Ha.

I understand your scepticism.

If I were given a free bet on the veracity of his story, I would place it on 'true'. Can't explain why - just instinct based on how he explains it.

Fame is relative. I was an academic at a University for over forty years. As a result I have written books (4) and scholarly articles (scores). I have been in four documentary motion pictures (three for tv and one for display to a provincial legislature). I have been interviewed live on tv and radio many times. I am the literary executor of a relatively famous person, which is why I have met many important figures including Nelson Mandela. However, all this is pretty normal for an academic (you might lose your job if you don't do them!). Amongst my peers, what I have done would be considered pretty normal and not a claim to fame. From my perspective a threesome with Megan Fox (or many others) would be more of a claim to fame (though I am somewhat skeptical a la Boris).

Depends, as Monty says, what your definition of fame is.
I was, for example, in a fair few bands in the late 1970s v early 1980 punk scene in Liverpool.
None of the bands were famous, but some of the other members went on to become famous.
At the time, however, I was more cool and central to the 'scene' (man) than the cocks who later became famous.
