Along with no mobile masts are out to sea.
What about GPS though?
GPS is beamed BY satellites, it's not beamed to them...
Well yes, but can it not pick out where folk, or rather their appliances are?
No. GPS devices that are commonly in use are receivers not transmitters. They receive a signal from a number of GPS satellites and from that data they work out where they are.

Some of you, no doubt are thinking "he's talking bollix"
But. Here's the thing: this satellite that had hourly 'handshakes' [technical note: not pings] with the engines could only calculate the incident angle the handshake arrived from, hence these two corridors that ignorant journalists are talking about.
1. The incident angle forms a circle above the position of the satellite (not two arcs).
2. As the satellite is well high, this circle cuts down through the atmosphere. The further west, the higher.

3. The maps published show only the centre line.
4. If flown south, above the ocean, at high altitude, the plane can easily have made an undetected great circle to land in Somalia.
5. The higher the easier the jet stream carries it east to west.
6. I'll let yourselves work out why that might not only be feasible, and possible , but a motive.

Not wise for anyone to take on the Chinese, really.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Which turns out to be a pretty distasteful hoax.

In fairness whilst I think it's distasteful, it's pretty good. I don't know how it is in Canadia, but that's exactly the sorry of corporate bullshit we get!

Yes, but the logo was blue with no red. It was too good, so to speak, to be real.

It's doomed now!
David Cameron has telephoned Najib Razak, the Malaysian prime minister, to offer his support.
Mr Cameron's spokesman said:
It was very much inviting any specific requests from the Malaysians. Prime Minister Najib said he would think about that and let us know if they have any specific requests.
Mr Cameron wanted to "make clear his thoughts are particularly with all the relatives of those who were on board the missing flight" and to "offer any support which the Malaysian authorities might find helpful", said the spokesman.

Prime Minister Najib thanked him for that and they agreed to stay in touch on this issue.

Was there an accompanying photo of him looking serious/constipated whilst on the phone?

And isn't an A380 either.

According to the Beeb...
"Relatives of the Chinese passengers on the missing Malaysia Airlines flight have threatened a hunger strike if the Malaysian authorities fail to provide more accurate information."
