^This. Liked him last Ashes and sorry to see he feels he has to retire. A good Aussie.

Have it!!! :D

Apparently some guy took this from the stands. I suppose that this opens up PB's debate re people watching live events via their phone, but what a perfect snap.

Yesterday absolutely the Aussies', today seems to be going our way a bit (EDIT: Johnson just gone fer nowt, the nice person). Potential for a contest if our batsmen show up.

aye - Moeen comes to the bowling party...

i reckon we'd be very happy to get them for less than 400... if we did that and if the batsmen turned up - we're still very much in this... if we were we to post a giant score - then batting for the Oz would be a very different game in their second innings...

(note the "ifs"!)

481? Going to take a hell of a performance to win from here. Now Lyth really does need to step up!

Not sure it matters much, let the Aussies win and dream what might've been.

England's priority has to be finding a proper opener and spinner for tougher tests that lie ahead.

I think it would help given that on tour we are likely to find ourselves chasing these kind of first innings totals... This is a good opportunity to practice doing just that... if we get into a mental state of thinking we will lose as soon as the other team bats first and post more than 400 - then that's gonna be a problem... to know we can bat ourselves back into a game would do us no end of good confidence-wise..

Thought there was a small chance if we got a decent total that the Aussies might fall over again - defo gone now!

Take as long as possible to avoid the follow on.
