The Haka has certainly evolved from that effort in 1973 which was when the Barbarians beat the All Blacks, the game which had that try.

How should a team face the Haka then? The Irish in 1989 gave it a go but lost the match

As did the Welsh in 2008 but came up short in the match as always against southern hemisphere opposition.

Maybe they tried to emulate the French in 2007 who beat them in the world cup quarter final match.

If we do things right, we shouldn't have to worry about any of this until the final. Is that a prediction?

Not rugby but saw these two hakas recently. I'd always assumed it was for battle, didn't realize it was used elsewhere either

Isn't it actually a 'we come in peace' type of thing?

One other thing as well, we need to be looking to score at least four tries to get a bonus point.

Can tell it's band-waggon time. The Sun are all "get behind our boys" and handing out free St George cross pages. They'll be first to crap on the team from a great height should we not win. (That won't happen of course, but just saying) :D

Most people have, including me. It's Clive Woodward who seems to have picked up on it.

1 point for losing less than 7 points.
1 point for 4 or more tries.
2 points for a draw.
4 points for a win.
0 for losing.

so - best strategy seems to be...

win games
score lots of tries
don't concede

simple! :D

Matt Dawson somehow manages to make an even bigger irritating, embarrassing c*nt of himself.

opening games can be notoriously tricky, but...

wtf happened to the idea that a hooker actually fecking hooks the ball back to the number 8 - hold it there while you decide what to do rather than just let the scrum meander back and forth and round about a stationary ball!! that's why a hooker is called a fecking hooker!!!
