Ah soz.

I enjoyed Leave people posting pictures of the medal table showing us second (by our made up rules btw, I'm sure by any sensible system we should be third, which is good enough, right?). Anyway, the counter pics during the EU top of the table by miles were a little predictable.

After all, these are the generation snowflakers who were so cossetted at school they weren't allowed to lose. Which, in an ironic way, they've continued all the way to the Olympics. Haven't they?

I have a memory of one of the athletes after the last olympics arguing this very point... they were mostly brought up with non-competitive sports days and yet brought home the largest haul of medals in living memory... yet the next day 5-live had a phone in where people still frotherd at the mouth over our kids being ruined by not being able to beat each other and have proper shame-faced loooooosers in sports days when aged 6.

Skelton is the oldest British olympic medal winner since Britain's John Copley won the silver medal in the 1948 engravings and etchings competition aged 73 years of age.

I watched her semi final bout last night. I think it's one of the dullest spectator sports I've ever seen. Well done to the lass though

Would love to see the Brit girls get gold in the hockey, but they're currently losing 3-2 to a team of female Cruyfs, Van Bastens and Gullits' in the Netherland side. They have a silver guaranteed. COME ON GIRLS......

She had a fantastic game but our penalty shooters all did the same thing. Run up to the goalie, turn round and mess up. Fortunately the Dutch goalie got physical on one and gave up a real penalty. And what a shot!

Aye. Theirs were no better as both sides made a penalty shootout look very difficult to score from!

Without a doubt, Woman of the Match (make that the tournament because she's saved them more than once along the way). I'd say give her a medal, but she's getting a gold one anyway. :D

Great fighting display of guts and effort. Dutch are well sick about that result. :oyea: :oyea:

Yes, those Dutch girls all looked like they were in need of a damned good consoling. I'd volunteer but I fear I'd be too tired after 'congratulating' most of the British girls.

Yes but these snowflakes have the audacity to be paid for their sporting achievements.

In the good old days they'd have worked 19 hours a day down a pit for a pittance before winning their gold medal with a fag in their mouth. Then they'd have been able to use whatever racial slur they liked whenever they liked. Before going home and giving their wife and kids a good hiding.

These snowflakes will never experience what real men did when life was perfect.

A bloke, who worked 'down pit', then trained for sporting events is more admireable than some cossetted boy/girl wonder.

There's even a budget for the snowflakes.

I had to stop up for Mo Farrah's race. The man is a machine; he was in control of the race even from the back. Have to confess I thought he was going to get caught at the death, but he had no such fears. Brilliant, brilliant athlete. Almost Wilsonesque....

Big admiration for all our contestants in everything. They've excelled themselves...
