What is the best pint?

Post by Mich Caine » Wed Sep 21, 2005 2:12 pm

I do prefer a glass of wine to beer but I still like a good pint. Which is your favourite?

My preferred pint is Caffreys, but I really like marston's pedigree - anyone tried that? I also like a nice pint of lager - Kronenborg is a good drink!

Are there any beers I may have not discovered that are fantastic? Let me know if there are - I am off to the supermarket on the way home!!!

i dunno if its at the supermarket but there's a pub in preston which does lagers and beers from around the world and i've had two - a kenyan and a russian and both were excellent for bottled beers

Pah! Bavarian Wheat Beers are the way forward! Dentergems is a fine fine pint... also, if you're near Hereford, Wye Valley Ale is a killer!!!

I also love a Caffreys, it's really smooth and goes down well. (not gay)

The worst, Becks in a bottle. If I ever had to drink piss, I imagine that's what it would taste like.

If I am at home i'd go for a can of Carling.

Coors Gold on tap (bloody hard to find) and Bitburger are the best lagers.

XXXX is cat's piss.

Yes people only buy Becks in clubs because no one seriously would buy it for home. It is rank.

Am I the only one who likes the cider? Its English, its refreshing, it gets you drunk. Nuff said.

Strongbow everytime. Or maybe a Stella if the mood takes me (you know, what with that being an English Cider too )

Im into real ale but also like the nice belgium Framboise and Kreik, those are Rasberry and cherry beers. Hoegaarden is another decent brew along with a good Leffe blonde or brown.
