I've been following the progress of Murray for a while now and this guy is the real deal. He may not win Wimbledon but I think he'll have an excellent chance of obtaining the US Open in a few seasons. Surely the sports personality of year so far?

One of the 'selective' quotes I read was that he would be supporting any team that England were playing against. He's also wideley reported as preferring to be called Scottish rather than British. I do not like him.

Steady with the stereotyping there, Comrade Work-Ethic. It would be more correct to say that some Scots are anti-English, some just don't like the football team (due in no small part to the overblown hype surrounding it) and some just couldn't care less.

I probably was unlucky, but I lived in Glasgow for a year, and I was constantly abused for being English.... Being called an English b*rst*rd and that I had ruined their country and to pish off back to England.

Whenever I was around 2 blokes used to sing Flower of Scotland and go on about Bonnie Prince Charlie. The thing is I'm pretty dim, so I thought they were talking about Charles, as in Prince of Wales as in now married to Camilla... So I kept saying why are you going on about him, he's supposed to be Welsh, in any case he isn't particularly bonnie. Then someone explained later about the real Bonnie Prince Charlie.

It was a miserable 12 months.
