sunburn

Post by Gnome » Sun Jun 04, 2006 9:42 pm

I've been driving for 6hrs today with my window open and now have a bright red and very sore right arm, which looks slightly ridiculous against the quite nice tan i got in Magaluf

did have to laugh at a lot of my mates when we were out there tho, after a day in the sun coming in with bright red streaks all over their legs only somehow :? and having to go out in the hot evening in boots

Stay indoors. Preferrably in the pub.

How amazing are weekend when it's sunny??

I think I just had the best weekend of my life topped of by glorious sunsine, an Abba tribute band and a big field in Swindon.

I ache everywhere, I've laughed for 48 huors non-stop I've lost my voice totally (heaven to the rest of the world) and I've burned my shoulders and front where I missed with the suncream.. But I don't think I have ever ever ever been happier.

(Shame about the netball matches that we got trounced in but hey, fun was the winner!!!)

I underestimated the sun when at Epsom Downs on Saturday, pink as a pig when I got home. Backed Sir Percy though, so...

Got an old "Fat Willy's Surf Shack" T-shirt. Two/three hours abroad in the sun and on it goes regardless. I rarely suffer from any form of unpleasantness, burning etc and in three days am almost black. Family, "starfishing" all day, laughed at me. They weren't laughing next day when they had to sit in the shade all day. Sun starvation makes the Brits go barmy.
It's still preferable to pain.

Being of a fairer skin tone I have learned my lesson after many instances of burning the backs of my knees . Even so 10 years ago the Hawaiian sun went straight through hourly applications of factor 30 and left me with a blistered back.

nowadays I'm a modern man with moisturiser with UV filter and SPF 15 chapstick, plus there's a bottle of factor 20 that lives in the car.

Hey, heres a novel idea! Why, instead of standing next to polls and only being allowed to kick, don't you play real football your allowed to move!
