If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Rooney & Eriksson take sporting hyperbole to new heights

Post by bobo the clown » Wed Jun 07, 2006 8:42 am

"England striker Wayne Rooney has told coach Sven-Goran Eriksson he is 300% certain he will be fit for the World Cup". - BBC Report

300% now ??? I always cringe when people say 110% - this "300%" is almost Keeganesque in it's level of foolishness.

You can't beat 100% ... it means ALL, TOTAL, ABSOLUTE.

This is up there with Spinal Tap's 11 on the volume ... at least that was ironic.

I hope they're right (that he's fit ... not that 300% of anything can exist), I really do ... but the scan will decide, not how confident the person is.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Maybe it means each broken metatarsal will be 100% better?

Or, each of his brain cells is convinced.

Oliver Holt in the mirror today was sayin he watched rooney wince as he hit a ball with his right foot and was hobbling most of the last 15 mins whilst putting a relatively brave face on, i don't think it's a certain yet that he'll be involved

There is no point using him in the first two game.

At all.

We wont need him.

From Sweden onwards is when we'll be tested, there is no point risking him.

I don't think Crouch has done to much wrong as of late to be honest. Certainly not enough for us to rush Rooney back to early.
