Wow that was terrible. It was an exciting match in the end but that was because the goals were set up by terrible defending. FIFA seriously needs to analyze the draw process because you just can't have two teams like that playing each other very often.

Typical Jaidi performance, plays like **** at the back then gets a goal to make you forget.

I don't think Nat ever played in the WC finals.

It must be the last time a Bolton player scored an international goal.

Nah, because surely Stelios has scored for Greece at some point whilst he's been with us??

Borgetti scored against the Netherlands a couple of weeks ago, although that was a friendly.

Nat played in the 1954 WC finals, scoring three goals in the process.

Yes, he scored against Spain in the Euro 2004 qualifying. In looking up his record I found the following distinction (who the hell follows these things?):
Stelios also has the distinction of being part of the substitution that holds the record of the largest difference between the number of letters in the surnames of two players in a Premiership substitution. This occurred when he replaced Ibrahim Ba during a league game for Bolton Wanderers on February 7, 2004

I'm with you SKD. Yesterday I learned that Polish is a capitonym which makes about as much sense as the post.

True, but you had the correct answer for someone with the club at the time - Nat in 1954. Others scored in the WC and were subsequently acquired by us like Dioufy. I was just answering the hijack attempt.

Glad someone got to it before me. Nat was of course a World Cup player. Absolute legend. best goals to game ratio ever. His legend will never be matched.
