Please, please let this be the last ever Take That thread...
This one isn't regarding Mark's obvious sexuality enigma or Gary Barlow's ballooning weight but I am in a bit of a quandary because I've got the chance for two free tickets on Saturday to see Take That's gig at the City of Manchester Stadium.
Obviously it's not my ideal Saturday night out but it would be a nice surprise for the wife, I suppose. It'd be a new experience too because I've never been to a boy band gig (not unless you count that time when I auditioned to be one of the original line up of the Backstreet Boys that is)
I'll not be on my own either because I've heard that there will be a few chaps there who are overweight, pushing middle age and with greyish thinning hair. And even more of them in the audience.
Question is, should I accept the tickets? Obviously it goes without saying that should I decide to go, I intend drinking all day beforehand.

Well if it's any consolation, CrazyHoss. In the past I've done similar so as to please another half, although in my case the turgid 'entertainment' was provided for lighter waving buffoons by Michael Bolton on one occasion, and by Bryan Adams on the other. Nothing nearly as bad as Take That though.
May the bridges I burn light your way

so I'll have to pick one of the others???? It's that kind of comment that is putting me in two minds about going!Gertie wrote:Which bit is the dilemma????
I'm going with 5 of my friends all girls, and all dressing to impress wee Markie, so you'll have to pick one of the others.
I'll look out for you

Howard (the one who used to have the dreadlocks) has several children dotted around Europe not with the mothers... Avoids commitment perhaps??? Great dancer and a lovely body...
Jason - as mad as a box of frogs... Good luck...
Wee Markie - HANDS OFF HE'S MINE ALL MINE OH YES
So you still have a body like John Terry and a face like Brad Pitt? Should be easy to spot in a crowd of girls...????

Yes I do.
This consensus of this thread seems to have already made the assumption that I'm going to go...
Is there going to be any other hen-pecked boyfriends/husbands there who have been dragged along kicking and screaming? Or will it just be me?
