A couple of years ago I walked half of the Rossendale way (22 miles) in a day for charridy. When I was asked if I fancied doing it, my cocksure reaction was one of "Absolutely, piece of piss, how difficult can it be going for a stroll in the countryside?" I tell you,I crossed the finish line in absolute agony with boots full of split blisters. Next time I'm asked to do owt like it I'll be giving it more carefull consideration.

42 was easy enough, mate, with only a small amount of training. :)

This'll sound like I'm just making it up now but I've got a knee op on the 17th. Maybe next time though, fella. :)

Well done, Blurred. Nice one.

But just touch on what Gnome mentioned, Mrs B took part in the Race for Life at Pennington Flash, Leigh today. It was her third (first one this year) and, with absolutely zilch training (other than chasing a 14-month around) she managed to knock off 12 minutes and finished in 34 minutes.

Cracking stuff and I doth my cap to her.
was gonna do it myself but I wimped out with a tight hamstring! I did the Manchester 10K last time round and managed in about 40mins so I didnt do to bad
