He's gone out of his way to set us up a quiz. What ever he does won't be to everyone's liking. But its only a game!

Not much point in playing if you know all the answer's all the time - just becomes a test of who can press the buttons fastest then!

ffs - just play and have fun.

Perhaps a suggestion might be (if its not too much trouble to Malc) that he changes the category every week - instead of month - so people might be bad on one category one week but ok on another category the next - and visa-versa for other people - that way no one as an advantage over anyone else?
Cheers Sluffy. Not a bad suggestion.

History & Geography next week and then Australian Trivia - HARD. That will teach you all.

I'm still getting North American sport questions! (Ice hockey)

6. Who was the Panthers top goal scorer in the 1999/00 season?

The correct answer was Jamie Leach.

Jamie Leach played 57 games scored 21 goals and gained 37 assists. Greg Hadden was close behind scoring 26 goals in 50 games with 24 assists.

Hang on, in terms of Top Goalscorer, how on Earth does Hadden with 26 goals come in "close behind" Leach who'd only scored 21? :conf:

Question 3 - Birmingham Bus Routes

Which main road does the 45 and 47 operate along?

Soho Road
Bristol Road
Pershore Road
Hagley Road

Silly me I said the Bristol Road and the correct answer was Pershore Road.

I should have known that one.

it's one of a set of exciting Brum transport questions:

see how you do on this one:

http://www.funtrivia.com/playquiz/quiz94230acbf58.html

cracking stuff - use this for your next pub quiz marathon round to sort out the men from the boys!!

for example...

Which type of bus operates the Park and Ride Services?

Wright Liberator / Volvo B10
Wright Crusader Volvo B6
Alexander ALX200 / Dennis Dart
Wright Crusader / Dennis Dart

just so you know...

the missus has joined - she's can't resist a quiz (and she's actually much better at this general knowledge lark than I am) - so the mystery "Lyth" figure is my missus...

(she has been to the Reebok - so she just about counts as a wanderer - in fact the last time I took her we beat Charlton 4-1 - she's a lucky mascot of sorts...)

7. Who was the manager of Bolton Wanderers in 2001-2002?

You correctly answered Sam Allardyce.

Sam Allardyce had been the coach of Bolton for some time. He will be helping Bolton to survive in the first division in 2002-2003.

Assists count too in hockey scoring - but I wouldn't have got the right answer.

I complimented your avatar Gertie and you immediately change it to Mark Owen? Badly done Miss Gertie, badly done indeed.
