lol, i know its a bit girlie but its alright, its only still in the car because she likes it, i bought it because they were supporting richard ashcroft at OTCCC earlier this year.Backgammon wrote:NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!white blood wrote:also currently in my cd changer are the new albums from the kooks, primal scream, zutons, chili peppers and the feeling.
One word springs to mind when I think of 'the feeling'.... Pish.
They supported the Charlatans in Manchester recently. I saw one song then went to the bar...
I think I might throw on Interpol's first album tonight, sit and stroke my chin.

absolute quality is Tomahawk, the closest thing Patton will do to Faith No More, features the brilliance of Duane Denison from the Jesus Lizard & John Stanier, the drumgod from Helmet and now Battles, and of course Kevin Rutmanis from THE MELVINS!Cowdrill wrote:tomahawk - mit gas

Possibly my current fave band, even if the frontman does drink his own wee and then spit it into the crowd at the end of every set. That's showbiz, folks!

Patton has had his fingers in many pies since Faith No More split.
even during Faith No More he was in Mr Bungle
since FNM he's done:
Fantomas
Tomahawk
Peeping Tom
Kaada Vs Patton
Rahzel Vs Patton
General Patton Vs the X-ecutioners.
and probably guested on more to boot.
www.ipecac.com is the record label he runs and most of those 'acts' are on.

I knew about Mr Bungle and Fantomas, was never that keen on Mr Bungle at the time to be honest. Thanks for the info.Dr Hotdog wrote:Patton has had his fingers in many pies since Faith No More split.

Can't speak for the original album because I haven't heard it. This remixy one is very moody - a bit dark and laid back - not at all like an intellectual white-boy four-piece guitar band. There's quite a bit of Japanese-influenced re-working going on in it. (As ever, if you don't like Sylvian's voice, then steer well clear.) This is the first David Sylvian album I've bought since Tin Drum (?) many moons ago - wouldn't play it every day, but I do like it.Bruce Rioja wrote:Hmm. I was never a fan of Japan, what's his solo stuff like by comparison?Little Green Man wrote:David Sylvian - The Good Son vs The Only Daughter (The Blemish Remixes).
Got the nouvelle New Vague yet?
