What are you playing tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Listened to it quite a lot now and think that it's fantastic. I even prefer it to the first one on the grounds that I reckon the songs that they've chosen are more suited to their style (just my opinion, Wee Pixie disagrees for one).

Right now though I've got Stiff Little Fingers Anthology on. Old habits and all that.

Nostalgia night. Playing "The Best of Big Band",Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Les Brown,Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Glenn Miller etc etc. Two of the best bands ever are missing from this album though: Nelson Riddle and Billy May.

Then again, it's probably all Chinese to most of you .

I got into it on second listening, although one track does sound like someone's granny is singing it.

Gypsy Kings tonight, if for no other reason than Tonino Baliardo is one of the finest guitarists on planet Earth.
Brazilian, Latin, Salsa, Jazz mix. Cos I like it. What better reason?

The Sound Explosion - self titled.

Saw them at the kerrang new school of rock tour somethingorother last year, and was really impressed by them. Just straight-up rock really, great album.

I can hear the groans already, but it's Frankie Laine tonight. Good old "Jealousy", "Eyes of a woman in love" etc etc. Groan on.

It's Friday night, so chill out time. Triple Album, "Arabic beats". Steady driving beat, good percussion and wind effects, camel bells, voices. Just suits the mood. Might go a full version of Ravel's "Bolero" later. It's that sort of night.
