To add a bit of balance, I'm treating the neighbours to Native Instruments "Massive" synth, plugged into Ableton. Some reet wierd shit coming out.

I have previously owned an original Fender Rhodes 73 and a Roland Juno 60. Ended up selling both for nuts, now both worth a fecking mint.

Certainly a couple of grand's worth and a bit.

I only have a Yamaha, but running through a virtual synth on the pc, it can be anything it needs to be pretty much. The neighbours will be mighty impressed I suspect.

Is it a DX7, Worthy? That was the 'must have' back in the day. I note how many synths are now programmed to sound like the Rhodes - it had a gorgeous tone.

Nothing so grand mate. PSR 275. I got it for the kids when the missus wouldn't let my piano into the house. But since running it through the pc and virtual instruments into Ableton, I'm having quite a blast with it.

It plays ok, but no great shakes standalone, can be a little laggy through the midi interface into the pc.

Been toying, for a couple of years now, with the idea of buying a Gretsch semi-acoustic, but don't really play enough any more to warrant it. Then the other half of me says that if I bought one then perhaps I'd start to play more again. Wouldn't mind stumbling across one in a 2nd hand shop or summat.

Lovely Bruce... I was in Harrods not that many years ago, trying out every Gretsch they had had in the shop. After about an hour a bloke walked up to me with his hands behind his back and said " I don't think sir is thinking of making a purchase, is one sir?" I had to go and play with all the audio equipment instead.......
